This latests trend in hotel hospitality? Music lovers checking into fine hotels may want to ask the front desk about the latest trend in upscale amentities: in-room iPods Hotels like Dream, a new four star boutique in Manhattan offer guests an iPod preloaded with 2,000 songs and available for each one of Dream’s 200 room. I like this idea, I guess it’s a small expense with a 20GB iPod costing $299 and hotel rates at a hotel such as this ranging from $274-$575. These iPods are in room and available to take around during your stay to take running, to the workout room, and around town; it is definately in the next step and generation of hotel hospitality and technology combined.

Other hotels incude The Crescent in Beverly Hills that features an inroom iPod Music Minibar, anchoring them to the desk in each room. Dream discourages theft of the iPod through a contract agreeing to return them or have their credit cards billed. This is undoubtledly a trend being born, and shows the popularity of the iPod is still just beginning. Looks like The Crescent contracted with Denver company Gray V, guess they didn’t know Urbanrush is on the block now.
