Veteran video game makers Rockstar Games recently introduced a flash-enabled real time music sequencing tool called Beaterator— and it’s damn neat. The application is completely web based and free to use. You can sequence up to 8-tracks using loops from Rockstars library of samples or easily upload your own. It has a keyboard as well as a simple effects board built into the flash application. Beaterator is the successor to the award-winning Rhymerator in ’01. Register and it lets you save your work and/or download an MP3 of your beat instantly, all in a stand alone web browser.
