Stand-Alone iPod Shop

The first Stand-alone iPod store in the country has now opened. How trendy– I see this idea catching on to be potentially very successful. The store opened up in San Luis Obispo, California. The shop offers every iPod model and more than 100 accessories for sale. The setup seems simple– a comfortable chair in the middle of the room and listening stations along the walls. iPodlounge says the store is pulling in an average of $4,000 a day in revenue. I could see this catching on in malls, and airports quickly. The iPod is so hot right now I’ve heard most Apple stores are flourishing with people looking just for the coveted iPod and a few matching accessories.
