Dee Adams paints because she is obsessed with the idea of simplifying. As a kid she would worry her mother as she sat at a table and colored an entire page with two single color markers, creating parallel strokes–intent on creating simplicity and perfection. Needless to say, an early artist bloomer. Her minimalist abstract art is created organically, the lines are not masked, they are all done free-hand and “painstakingly and lovingly”. No airbrushes, just explicit brush choice and incredible talent and technique. She holds major clients around the world, and has been seen in Vogue, Belle, and Wallpaper, among other places. I gave Dee’ my nod of approval nearly a half year ago before my readership was at the place it is today; and when we reconnected I was pleased to see the work of had grown and changed for the better.
