13 and God

After a random occurrence which left Weilheim, Germany's The Notwist and Berkeley, California based band Themselves– stranded together somewhere outside of Toronto in 2004, 13 & God, their 2005 collaborative effort, is a result of what some would see as musical fate. Dubbed "glitch pop", 13 & God is a combination of many previously separate styles taking The Notwist's "electro-pop" and flawlessly mixing it with Themselves "grinding robot rap". As if this wasn't good enough, you can find members of Lali Puna, Ms. John Soda, and Clouddead, making appearances throughout. Our favorites include Soft Atlas, Perfect Speed, and Afterclap, which has been on repeat for hours now! Although not a brand new release, this is definitely not to be missed for anyone who enjoyed Neon Golden (The Notwist), or The No Music (Themselves).
