American’s Wanted

If you're a bit of a film fanatic, can memorize a few lines and like to travel, it may be worth checking out the local studio in your next destination. I guess it's dirt cheap to film movies in Bulgaria as well as the Czech Republic. So my American accent (and the fact that I'm unprofessional cheap labor) has just landed me a small part as a female deputy in Lake Placid Two. Okay, okay, so this man-eating crocodile flick may go straight to DVD, but it was trippy, I tell ya. My own trailer, working with Dukes of Hazzard has-been John Schneider and a fat paycheck for starters. In one day of filming, I received what I earn in one month as a volunteer in Bulgaria. (This all goes straight to charity since I'm in the Peace Corps). But just think how far that could take a backpacker who doesn't have a phone bill!
