Want iPod Travel Cases

One of the most luxe iPod cases made yet is the out-and-out stunner from Want Les Essentiels de la Vie, which reminds me a lot of a posh mini travel trunk or pocket manicure case, minus the branding overkill. We know what kind of battering those cases go through, but made for durability, they ultimately protect the goods. The Want case is enveloped in premium leather on top of a hard shell exterior, holding your iPod snug inside with a shiny metal overlay. On the inner’s opposite side, there’s a place for credit cards. It’s a commendable effort in form and function to protect the type of must-haves we rely on to get through our days, whether it’s going from home to the office or home to an overseas destination. It doesn’t hurt that it has a sex appeal of its own, with all that leather-metal mix going on.

Currently, these cases fit only the old video iPods and Nanos, and no word on whether they’ll make versions to fit the new models. A shipment at L.A.’s South Willard for the video cases comes in November 15th, but if you’re on the hunt for a Nano case, you’re in luck because they’re still in stock.
