Trimassa

Choque Cultural, the site of a pixacao attack that made the major newspapers in Sao Paulo recently, has bounced back as we knew they would. They re-opened their doors this past weekend to a freshly painted gallery and an incredible new show, Trimassa, curated by street art legend Carlos Dias who contributed his newest works as well. The exhibit gathers graffiti, tattoo, comic and illustration artists from Brazil’s southern city of Porto Alegre, which has a healthy and thriving art scene of its own. Among the stars on the walls are this writer’s favorite Bruno 9li, Silvana Mello and Carla Barth "” making this one of Choque’s best shows yet in my humble opinion. You can check out the works here. What a magnificent return to form. Way to go, guys!
