Google "” despite being all brilliant and sexy in helping to narrow down any search you feed it "” can reach its limit real fast. Like when I’m hunting down information on a Brazilian artist or graphic designer who’s piqued my interest. I’m often led to his/her photo community account stream rather than a more complete professional site. While looking for the story behind Thiago Campos, I did find a slew of his sweet collage-type work (you can’t tell on this photo, but the character’s shirt is appropriated from a photograph of a tagged-up building) self-posted on Flickr. It reveals he’s also into making novelty books and was recently invited to paint one of the rooms at Eastpak in São Paulo in his pop style. After a few more clicks and clacks on the keyboard I found the pro site of a Rio de Janeiro art director by the same name, an equally talented creative type with some big-name clients. Is this Thiago’s commercial alter ego? It’s a mysterious case of double identity? It’s a mysterious case of double identity. I’m working on solving it, but in the meantime, they’re both deserving of your mouse click.
