Many of you have probably noticed the guest posts by a new contributor and friend Aron Branam. Aron’s down at SXSW this week covering the whole shabang for me– he offered up his suggestions for 3 must-see Wednesday acts with details and times. Check them out after the jump!
The Go! Team
"The Go! Team is a Brighton, UK six-piece whose music spans genres and induces smiles. Their debut album, Thunder, Lightning, Strike, was one of 2005's most celebrated releases, mixing noise rock, Motown, 80's electro MC's, girl groups and Vince Guaraldi into a Kool-Aid Technicolor swirl." The word on the street about their live shows, Expect nothing short of amazing!

k-os
If you ask me about hip-hop, I'll drop one name, k-os. This critically acclaimed musical visionary is leading the revolution in bringing the music back to hip-hop. His 2004 release, Joyful Rebellion, is nothing short of phenomenal. k-os effortlessly mixes reggae, jazz, and rock creating sounds that won't let your ears go. So if you see one show, see k-os, and ask him to play "The Man I Used to Be", you won’t be disappointed.

The Octopus Project
With their second album, One Ten Hundred Thousand Million, and one more set of hands, Brandon Durham (guitar), The Octopus Project continues to make electrifying music filled with beat machines and keyboards stacked against drum kits and guitars. In the years since recording, Identification Parade (2002), the band toured coast to coast, occasionally teaming up with the likes of Four Tet, The Shins, and Deerhoof and with shows described as "Controlled Chaos", I can't wait to see what they have in store.
