POVeditions

Maybe you’re not exactly a starving artist, but a rather malnourished one with all of the top ramen you inhale on a daily basis. The fact of the matter is, being an artist is a tough gig and the money doesn’t always flow in regularly. While the people at POVevolving may not be able to stop all artists from existing solely on noodles, the LA based gallery fine art printing company, is at least attempting to alleviate the financial burden of a few artists with their POVeditions project. The recently launched curatorial undertaking involves the seemingly random release of some stunning limited edition fine prints each month from their stable of works from artists such as Alika Cooper and Mel Kadel. Ten percent of each print sold on POVeditions will then be put towards the company’s Artist Endowment Fund. The money stored in said fund will then be used to give grants to artists that may not have enough cash to make their ideas a reality. If you’re wondering how you might get your hands on some of that fundage…well, once or twice a year POVevolving puts out an open call for proposals. So we recommend keeping your ear to the ground and your eyes on their website.
