JJ Cale: Roll On

I didn’t think I liked country music until I heard Cajun Moon. I realized that I had judged country the way people judge hip-hop … by what’s on the radio. JJ Cale came before it all and he’s stuck to his style, which has influenced many, including Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits. The survivor of his musical era is still writing and recording. Roll On has all the rythmic drive of his early work and shows us a more refined songwriter with tighter arrangements.
