Jack Johnson and Curious George

Curious George opens today, and although I've loved that little monkey since I was 3, I am much more excited about the soundtrack to the film, Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies, which I picked up yesterday. Written and sung by Jack Johnson, the CD boasts appearances by Ben Harper, G. Love, and Matt Costa on tracks like, "The Sharing Song", and in reinterpreting some classics like Harpers, "With My Own Two Hands". Johnson's roll as a new father definitely lends influence to his soft melodies and song selection on the album and helped him to create songs for all ages. I really like "Broken" and "Upside Down". So from myself, George, and the Man in the Yellow Hat, close the curtains, throw on this CD, and get on island time, if only for a while.
