Franklin Azzi Does Tokyo

Franklin Azzi Architecture, which is a Paris based firm, just finished two projects in Tokyo for French fashion designer Bali Barret, and they’re not to be missed. The first is called the Red Bunker, typifying the numerous bunkers that were built in Japan during World War II. The second is called the Red Tent (pictured here)– it’s modeled after a military tent. Both designs utilize archetypical WWII military inspiration, but deftly add Bali Barret red flare. If you find yourself in the land of the rising sun, a stop by one or both of these new boutiques should definitely be on your list of to-dos.
