Flower Speakers

The TIME Coolest Inventions of 2004 might be the only issue of TIME I have ever read, but it reminded me of The Flower Speaker; ‘me thinks we will see these for sale soon. It was developed by Let’s Corp in Okayama Japan, they found a way to use the shape and stems of a flower to generate sound waves by mimicking the conventional cone we find in everyday audio speakers. Aimed at businesses right now, they’re pricing them from $45-$450. Read Japanese? More at the Lets Corp site.
