Danish- The future of design?

Posted on August 12, 2005 Under Design

I wish I were in Copenhagen so I could see the Danish Design Centre’s newest exhibition “DANISH- Framing the future of design“. The exhibition asks the question “What is the role of danish design in the 21st century”– and the exhibition includes some 100+ of the latest and most groundbreaking Danish designed products. It’s clear that a new generation of Danish designers are emerging, and they all have new ideas and complex challenges–like sustainability. The exhibit is split into five spheres, some include “Outernational”, regarding how in public spaces we are always “on display”. “Help me help you”, untraditional rehabilitation and medical equipment, and “You Better Work”, new creative and innovate designs for the workplace. Sounds like a great time, and goes through November 13th ’05.
