Because You've Gotta Catch Zzz's to Catch Air

Burton is well known for keeping riders covered and comfy on the mountain, and if this year’s SIA proved anything, they intend to keep it that way with some amazing product developments set to show in next fall’s gear line-up. Weird, then, that the item creating the most buzz has nothing to do with actually being on the mountain, but everything to do with getting you there. It looks like the jet-set riders at Burton, sick of neck kinks and jet lag messing with their style after long flights to the freshest powder, took matters into their own hands and developed the Burton Sleeper Hoodie. Set for release sometime in the early fall (I’m guessing September), the Sleeper Hoodie incorporates “comfy as hell” styling and materials with all the necessities you normally have to carry on in order to make flights bearable. The list reads: integrated neck pillow in the hood, pull down light shield to block out nasty rays, cuff thumb holes, internal iPod / ticket / passport pocket, stash pocket with earplugs, and pit zips (because you sure can work up a sweat sleeping). And it looks really, really good. Whoa, Burton… I’m impressed. It doesn’t look like there will be a girl version of this, which, ahem, they should reconsider, but as far as I can tell, that could be the only flaw in this smarter-than-me sweater.
