If you're a fan of Eastern flavors and stuck in Sofia waiting for your WizzAir flight, stop by Annette, which means "gracious" in French. It’s a new Moroccan restaurant that might make you moan with pleasure. Sink into the striped pillows, feel the melted-ice-cream-like walls soften your senses and let the festival of fire-lit lanterns guide your dinner. The salads"”stringy and spicy spinach, peeled tomatoes and peppers, crisp falafel, marinated aubergine, syrup-strewn dates, and eight more, are particularly pleasing. Plus selections like fatoush, chicken shish, hummus, cous cous, leek-stuffed pitas and yogurt-topped veggies. And don't forget the tea. Puff on a nargileh for an after-dinner aphrodisiac. Service sizzles. Ambiance amazes. Coming from Turkey or Vienna, it will be a steal. If you're returning from Uganda, think splurge. Tip: Angel Kunchev Street, just off Patriarch Eftimi and three blocks from Fox and the Hound.
