GO OHSO Goes On Airplanes

This post is in no way meant to condone breaking TSA rules, but from someone who has been traveling non-stop lately and completely irked by the current carry-on restrictions, I had to share the following discovery from the GO OHSO founder Robert Trocino. If you’re unfamiliar with the OHSO Travel Toothbrush, it’s a nifty contraption that carries the toothpaste within the body of the toothbrush, and it’s damn sexy, too. Not being able to carry a toothbrush on long flights has frustrated many. This is kind of scary that it passed by with no issue, but maybe this is also a potential temporary solution for frequent flyers?

I just returned from my trip. In the Austin airport, I had a brand new OHSO in the box and my personal brush fully loaded. The Colgate tube alerted a search of my bag and they confiscated it. They passed the fully loaded chrome OHSO so I was able to carry it on the plane. Security may have assumed it was a pen. The fully loaded brush passed in Memphis as well. Of course I’m not advocating doing this or claiming the same results in other airports, I’m just reporting the facts. If they had wanted to confiscate my personal brush, I was willing to empty it out right then and there.
