Threadless Select

Five years old and already the most successful skinnyCorp venture, Threadless has made significant changes to their online site in the past 6 months. One notable change is the addition of new lines in their catalog such as Kids!, Type Tees (where users submit logos and the team pairs it up with an appropriate font from T26.com), and one that really caught our eye, Threadless Select. The Select program is designed to truly highlight and reward the top designers while giving them an unrestricted medium to express their craft. Unlike the standard submission program, designers must either be personally invited by Threadless or the team may choose from an elite pool of designers who have had at least four winning submissions to their name. Select tees support up to 8 spot colors, twice the limit on traditional tees. In addition, designers can choose from a variety of special inks which include: metallics, neon, glow-in-the-dark. Not stopping there, Threadless allows artists to use puff and applique techniques such as foil, heat transfer and embroidery can be applied on the shirts, exponentially raising the possibilities for quality designs. Improving on the already comfortable shirts, the Select submissions are printed on sweatshop free American Apparel tees, which are some of our personal favorites.
